One thing that seems to surprise people about my designs is the amount of detail they find on such delicate pendants and earrings. I admit, for handcrafted gemstone jewelry, it’s quite unusual. Many of the pieces I see elsewhere are larger and chunky by comparison, where mine tend to be daintier.

The Vine pendant is a perfect example. It’s just over one inch in height and features your choice of colored gemstone or cubic zirconia. To the casual observer, the bevel-set stone might take center stage, but a closer look reveals the true beauty of this piece – the intricate carving that surrounds the gem. The raised scrolls stand out against their textured background and reflect the light nearly as well as the stone itself does.

Add to that the unusual asymmetrical shape, and you can easily see why many customers tell me that every time they look at it they see something new. That’s what I strive for in every design – that elusive quality that makes a piece feel like new again every time you wear it.
